One thing I noticed so far is that nobody seems to have Reputation. Well, 2 people, but I assume that goes for everyone. I saw EP's profile had "0/Neutral" rep, and after clicking Morgil's to see if it was just EP, same thing with his. Can Rep not be transferred over? I'm actually assuming not now, which is kinda Ehhh, but if it can't be done that's not the end of the world

At any rate, I tried rating my own latest post to see what would happen, and it said, "Action failed: You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day." I didn't know what that meant, but I thought it might be computer for "screw you--you can't rep your own posts >:(," so I tried +repping one of Morgil's posts on the same page, and I got the same error. It would appear that the repping function hasn't been installed properly or somethin'... Maybe once it's up and running everyone's rep from the old forum will transfer over??

IIRC IPB3 has it's own rep system, and we were using a mod in the previous one, so it probably isn't easy to transfer and we probably will have to set it up again in IPB3.

I'll try the best I can to bring back everyone's reps, but it'll take a lot. And I'll get on the settings for the rep system.

Do you know how they are stored? Maybe I can write a script that will go through and do it automatically.

I installed the previous reputation system. All I can say is you're wasting your time bringing it to this board because it was a gigantic hack before.

Don't bother, now we get to reset everything and begin anew. ;)

No dammit! I worked hard for my sixty-some-ot points. I want them back.

Also, i couldn't figure out how to quote just now. It took me a minute to figure out that the reply button at the button of an individual post and the reply button at the bottom of the thread are two different things.

They are forum rep points...meaningless.

I wouldn't call it a priority in terms of getting this place back to some sense of normalcy.

I would like to have them back, but if it is as much work as it sounds, it'd be selfish to ask for one of you to bust your asses and slave over it trying to restore rep. It's NOT "meaningless," and it's not better to "start anew," but I don't want anyone to have to break their backs over something like this--even if it means I have to lose the rep I had before.

Well, it's not dreadfully hard work but it would take a couple hours. Either way the data's still there, so there's always the chance we could see it come back. Also there is a possibility that someone out there has a script that converts the reputation data, seeing how popular that mod was.
