I voted for it's cool. I definitely could see myself buying one but it needs games I want to play announced. Also, I'm not sure if I'm willing to drop 599 USD if it is another expensive one.

I went with what looks to be the "plant answer"

Actually it was the Morgil answer.

Also, care to elaborate...? Because there's literally no point it simply saying which answer you chose.

I picked the most neutral one because the ultimate result of any PS4 information right now is that it doesn't matter at all until we see the new XBox.  If the PS4 is offering something that M$ does or doesn't offer, it'll shape the future of gaming.  If M$ comes out with a tablet controller and built-in facebookspace and a super-Kinect™ we might have something to talk about, just like if M$ releases the specs and it's actually just a green-colored WiiU.

Right now, we just don't know what the competition is, and the competition is what makes new developments interesting.

I would've picked the second from last answer, cuz i really don't care at all for the PS4, but i picked the last one cuz i thought it'd be funnier. There, hows that for an explanation. Now leave me be to go fiddel with my nintendos in piece.

I still don't have a PS3, even though there are quite a few games I want to play on it. Is it strange that what got me most excited about this announcement was, "sweet! now PS3s are gonna be cheaper!".

I chose the third option. All my current gaming needs are covered through PC (MWO, every cool new game) and Wii/Wii U (Project M and future Nintendo titles). Another console feels excessive at the moment. But hey, maybe I'll get one after the PS5 is announced!

Why do I bother? :|

I picked "It looks good, but let's give it some time." Odds are I'll be getting a PS4. I've been interested in getting a PS3 for a while now, but was never quite willing to commit the cash to it. With the news that PS3 games will at the very least be available to stream, along with PS1 and PS2 games, I'll be able to catch up on a lot of stuff I've missed over the years, and the console itself seems interesting enough. That said I won't be getting it until a little ways down the line, maybe after a price drop and some key releases. Especially since the next Xbox will be coming out around the same time, and I'll be getting it for sure.

You know, that's something that I can get.  I still want a PS3, and honestly I was following the press release thing in hopes of a PS3 lower price announcement or something so that I could jump on board.

If the used games and PS3 collection stuff doesn't translate well for current PS3 owners, (like, how exactly do you play your PS3 discs on this system?) I can see how people will get bent out of shape.  Sort of like how the Vita just throws all those PSP software purchases under the bus.  But, that works out for me when I don't have any PSP games, and now I can just buy them cheap through the eStore with no problem.  If the PS4 caters to me, while screwing their own base, it might not negatively impact me enough to say I don't want one.  It's just a question as to whether or not people will get pissed enough that it hurts the system in the long run.
