Really, no BluRay? Lame. At least the price is actually pretty reasonable.

^This.
But then I think about the show and how it was never made for HD anyway, and "remastering" it wouldn't look much better. I'd LOVE a new, crisp, wide-screen Cowboy Bebop, but I don't think one could be made well enough to make se of bluray withput being completely redone from the ground up.

I feel like we are all too old to give a flying horeshit fuck about the Pokemon anime.

I mean, when it comes to TV shows as commercials, this aint exactly prime reel estate.

I don't think you've been watching the latest season you uncultured prick.

Also, why do people like blurays?  I bought my first bluray a week ago and it's kinda cool to see it for the sake of difference, but content being slightly more clear and more expensive doesn't seem like a selling point to me.

I don't want to get into the "it's a lot more than 'slightly more clear'" argument, but it's a lot more than "slightly more clear". :3

Plus, if this was on BluRay they probably could have fit the whole series on one or two discs.

My prick is super uncultured, and it's kind of a sore spot. I also have a sore spot on my prick.

The DVD date for the next movie has been announced. February 17 seems kinda far off, considering the gap between US and Japan for recent previous movies. But then i'm sure it'll probably air on TV well before then. Hell, they released a dub trailer for it before the movie even came out in Japan.

EDIT: The TV airing of the movie has just been announced, and it's right around the corner.  On November 8, there will be a marathon of Pokemon Advance episodes (probably to promote the R/S remakes coming out just a few weeks later), followed by the premier of the Diancee movie.

A special anime short based specifically on the upcoming OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire games has been announced for Japan. Based on the single shot shown so far, i'm wondering if this in gonna be separate from the main anime, and maybe be more like the Pokemon Origins specials.

So yesterday, I sat down and watched the Diancie movie I recorded from Cartoon Network on Saturday.

Eh...  This movie was basically one giant filler (Xerneas and Yveltal didn't even battle).  Being edited for syndication/time for a "premiere" didn't help matters.  There were awkward scene transitions and even the epilogue was cut for time.

So the next movie has been announced (no official title yet), but it's the 2015 movie within the X/Y arc of the anime:

The movie releases next summer on July 18th, 2015 in Japan.  Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre, and Mega Rayquaza are featured.  A mysterious portal like the ones found in the ORAS games is also featured.

Spoiler

EDIT - We have a teaser trailer:
