If you're familiar with Niantic's Ingress, this is the Pokemon version of it. Go will be free-to-play with in-app purchases available.

EDIT - http://www.gonintend...-deal-with-dena

Go is not a part of the DeNA deal.

Well I can definitely say that that is one bad ass trailer. Too bad it's not a PoKeMoN RPG Wii U announcement.

I know a certain 8 year old who's gonna want that. But I'm certainly not going to let her go tromping around through town or ancient runes, meeting scruffy boys to do battle. I know what boys want from girls, and while it has to do with balls, it doesn't have anything to do with Pokéballs.

In addition to the game itself, there will be a blutooth device released that will interact with the game.

I'm reading on GAF that Go is one of Satoru Iwata's final projects for Nintendo. I'm reading that Iwata himself personally spearheaded this mobile game prior to his passing.

I don't know if this is all true, but they're saying it explains a few trips to The Pokemon Company Iwata had in July (was it right before his passing or was it during a July of a previous year??) and Masuda's two trips to San Francisco that was attempted to be kept low key, but ended up being suspicious instead.

EDIT- Updated OP.

Yeah, they flat out said all that in that press conference video i posted. At one point they even say the game is dedicated to Iwata's memory.

ITT, Pokémon is such serious business that everyone in the world lives around it. I swear, when the girls beat the gangsta guys in street at Phone Pokémon ™, I thought they were gonna simultaneously pull out their gats, hold then sideways, and shoot the bitches: "I'll show you what's really wassup! >:("

Thanks.  I didn't get the chance to watch the video since the weather has been annoying for me lately.  I really need to make some time soon to watch that in full.

It was only a matter of time before Nintendo jumped on the smart phone. I have my utmost trust in them as Pokemon is one of their babies, a golden child of Nintendo. With that said, I am curious to see how they will plan around it; what kind of tournaments? What kind of contests will be had, if any? How much will the ingame purchases effect the quality and overall accessibility to Pokemon Go? Regardless, I want me a Gengar >:3
