I love this community, and I love the people in it. I... just felt like prefacing this with that.

Anyway, you may have noticed I'm a very... private person. I never participate in voice chat, I'm wary to use any online features that specifically identify me, I have a habit of using character miis as opposed to my own personal one, and so on. You guys deserve to know why.

I had hoped it would not come to this, but after a few awkward situations which were resolved by PM, I'd rather avoid any more awkward situations in the future.

YOu guys know me as female, and that is true as far as I'm concerned- but there's a bit more to it. I'm still... in training, so to speak. To put it bluntly, I'm trans. I never meant to deceive anyone, but this is the first and only place where no one knows who I was before. I wanted to cherish that. But I don't think it's very good to do so for much longer.

To go into a bit more detail, I was born male. Transitioning to female. I'm still very early in the process... Which is to say I've barely even begun. It's a goal, but I don't exactly have the resources to pursue a transition at this time. I'm keeping my family out of it, personal issues, but as I'm not entirely independent of them yet it's a bit difficult to work around them without drawing attention. Hence why I'm not able to ever be full female at home... yet here, that's all you guys know of me, so I have to. It puts me in a bit of an awkward situation, but hopefully not anymore.

I hope you guys still accept me after this... but if you don't, I'm okay. I want everyone to see this, but then I want it buried. It's something you should know, but not exactly something I want broadcasted 24/7. I want to just be female, plain and simple- not to broadcast the trans* part of it.

If any of you have any questions, I'll answer them as best I can... I hope you understand.

It's fine by me. I'd rather you play mk8 and smash with me like you did 1 year ago when I knew this. It's not a big deal on my end.

Aw, don't worry about it Fushi :3 We like ya here, and I'm glad you feel comfortable enough to be "you" while on this site.

I wish you nothing but the best on your transition too!

There's a furry forum I go to now and then that has a pretty large trans community if you ever feel the need to have more of a social group for it. I'm sure there are other sites devoted to that sorta thing to, but with internet subcultures, you get all the gaming nerds and the like in the mix. Makes things more lively, I imagine. Lemme know if you'd like the link.

Wow, this is quite a shock. I'm normally pretty cool with the whole trans thing. Hell, i worked with someone like that at my last job. I do feel a little guilty for some things i may have said in the past, though. I hope you'll forgive me for any such past instances. I do feel happy that you trust us with this information, and it does also explain the conversation i had with you regarding Mario Maker earlier today. But i still like you as a friend regardless of whatever gender you wish to be, and i totally understand. I also understand how you wish to keep this private, and want to bury this thread, so once i finish typing this, i won't post any more in here. I wish you the best with this and welcome you to continue hanging around with all of us. You are still a dear friend to us all.

Very strong of you to be open to us about such an important topic. I haven't known you long Fushi, but whatever gender you are, you're always a good friend to me and everyone else on here I'm sure. Of course we accept you. Wish I could say more. Best of wishes from all of us.

It doesn't bother me. Life is short and if you feel that this transition will make you happy then go for it. It's nice to now that this place has given you some comfort in allowing you to express yourself as want. I wish you the best in your journey./endcheese

Kudos for even bringin this up Fushi, as I know how difficult of a situation this can be for you. As I believe I've mentioned before, I studied Psychology in college, with a minor in sexualality studies. Several of my classes included the Trans topic, as well as sexualaity not being black and/or white but including a scale of gray as well. I can understand how much there is to go through from a social standpoint, as well as from a therapy standpoint. One of my major projects in a class I took at OSU was of the topic of the acceptance of Transgenderism in the U.S. Wright State University also has an incredible LGBT & A group on campus as well. One of the things I liked about the group was that it included the Lesbian/Gay/Bi/Transgender, but also kept the door open for Allies, or those that wanted to pledge support in the group.

I won't go into much more unless asked, but just remember that my door's always open here via PM if you'd like.

To be direct: it's all good with me. Since August 2nd of 2014, I've been raised to believe that Fushi is a girl; Fushi identifies as a girl, so that's who Fushi is in my mind.

Now if only Fushi had better internet so she could join the MK8 tournaments more. ;)

Male, female, transgender, it doesn't matter. We are all gamers and friends here. :)
