On 9 AM Pacific on June 14, Nintendo will kick off their e3 2016 with Treehouse Live! wall-to-wall coverage of The Legend of Zelda: Wii U including behind-the-scenes information.  There are no other ANNOUNCED plans for Nintendo at e3 2016.  If Nintendo hasn't bailed on the e3 Roundtables for this year, there might be something else other than Zelda Wii U that could come of those roundtables.

E3 time represents like, 20% of our posts. Looks like our annual numbers are gonna drop hard this year.

Are we going to lose our government funding?

On-topic: I have a hard time believing they're going to be able to do nothing but Zelda, all the time. I won't necessarily be surprised if there's nothing else, but ... there has to be something else!

I was thinking about this, too.

Another related thought I had: There won't really be an exciting shoutbox viewing of the show, unless people are watching the 3rd party shows and Sony/M$ shows.

I'm not really excited for ANY shows, really. I look forward to E3, but I'm not hyped. Everything I want this year is already on the tables. I'd like to see shit like Resident Evil 7, but I won't know that it's coming until they drop that shit on me anyway. So yeah, I'm optimistic about the surprises, but I don't know what to expect, and I actually don't expect many surprises either. Nintendo's already a bust, and that's the company which always held the majority of my hopes and dreams. WaveRace NX? F-Zero NX? Metroid NX? No need to hold my breath this year! No need to anxiously watch the clock wind down while Nintendo wasted time on stupid bullshit nobody cares about this year! Why? Because Nintendo graciously told us exactly what to expect from their show this year: NOTHING.

Nintendo has whipped up two e3 demos from a build of Zelda: Wii U.  Press should schedule 90 minutes to play through the two demos at the e3 show floor.

My guess is:

1) Nintendo will reveal the actual name of Zelda: Wii U.

2) The first demo will probably be from the beginning of the game and maybe through the first dungeon (we should get beginning story details here).

3) The second demo will probably be from a spot later on in the game.  Perhaps to show off more of the open world aspect.

Welp.  Looks like all the noise about Nintendo's e3 being Zelda only were greatly exaggerated.

The Pokemon Company has posted Sun and Moon and Pokemon Go will be covered at e3 during Treehouse! Live.

Multiple upcoming 3DS and Wii U games will be covered at e3.  Federation Force probably will get covered some more.

After reading what they'll be covering, I'm getting the feeling I'll be watching very little of the Treehouse, beyond getting some Zelda info. Luckily I was already prepared for a low-key E3.

(Not that I'm trying to poop on the parade or anything, just had a bout of "the internet needs to know how this affects me personally")

I wouldn't say "greatly" exaggerated.

For one thing, all that they truly said was that Zelda would be the only playable game.

Pokémon, Federation Force, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, and Monster Hunter Generations have all been revealed already--even released in other regions. Then there's Dragon Quest 7 for the 3DS, which I don't know shit about, besides that they're past #7 already. Basically, for me anyway, Zelda is still the only Nintendo game worth giving a shit about right now, and I won't be excited until E3 hits... and even still I don't know how excited I'll be, aside from that it won't compare jack-shit to the Sm4sh reveal E3.

This is a reminder of what Nintendo will be doing for e3 which includes Miitomo events, eShop sale, and game coverage for upcoming Wii U and 3DS games.
