“Yeah it's definitely possible. As I mentioned earlier in the presentation, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a result of what we wanted to expand and make a better Skyward Sword. It's like an evolved or expanded version. Putting out an HD version of Skyward Sword and tossing that into the mix might be a little weird. It's always a possibility, so I really don't know."

So what say you all?  Want Skyward Sword HD?  Aonuma does say it would be weird doing a Skyward Sword remaster since Breath of the Wild was created to answer all the problems Skyward Sword had.

I think the game's way too recent for that. Plus, i don't really want them to just go around remaking every Zelda game (VC ports don't count).

It's been nearly 5 years and would be at least another before it actually releases. And either way, I don't know why there has to be an arbitrary minimum amount of time. And why not remaster (remakes and remasters aren't the same thing) every Zelda?

The Last of Us, Uncharted games, Resident Evil games once more, Wind Waker, OoT, MM, hell so many games have gotten remade from 360/ps3 to xbone/ps4 it's crazy. Why is SS too early? I would like that since I never played it and don't have Wii MotionPlus.

EDIT: Skyrim's enhance edition was just announced after releasing 5 years ago. Pre ordering Dishonored 2 nabs you the upscale Dishonored plus all DLC from it.

I dunno, i guess i'd rather just developers focus on new games then farting out the same out shit with slightly higher graphics over and over again.

But that's a false dichotomy. It's not new games OR old games. Remasters are done by smaller B-teams, they're not putting the full A-team with all of their resources on a remaster. Case in point, both Wind Waker HD and TP HD were done during Breath of the Wild's development. Hell, Majora's Mask too.
