It is better but I can never get it. I can at least hit nice a fair amount of times haha. I got excellent once so far. It's more xp, but it's also using more pokeballs on 1 pokemon instead of many.

Alright, i just took a big hike around town, and boy am i exhausted. I really should've taken a water bottle as i walked around. I didn't really find anything all that spectacular in terms of pokemon; mostly just the same shit i've been finding at home and work. But i did find three gyms and a handful of pokespots. One of the gyms was even in the old church i used to go to. Maybe i should start going again on the weekend ;). Though i had a hard time figuring out how the battle mechanics work. I was just tapping and swiping the screen at random, hoping something would happen. Though considering the massive CP difference between myself and the pokemon guarding the gyms, i was lucky to survive long enough to do any tapping at all. Then as for the pokespots, i got a handful of pokeballs, potions, and revives, but i also got three eggs. I only have two incubators at the moment, and even then, who knows when i'm gonna find the time to walk 5km (BTW, why can't this game measure in fucking miles?), so it'll probably be a while before they hatch. Lastly, with all the small fry i cought today, i managed to get to level 7. I think i heard at level 8 you get some kind of bait. But for now, i'm pretty much done for the day.

Probably because the metric system outweighs the U.S. system everywhere.

Caught a Dratini while I was takin a poo at the apartment. Saw a lickitung at work, game glitches out when I tried to catch it though. Caught a Nidoqueen. And otherwise, slowpokes, psyducks, or eevees, among the other usuals.

Here's what all the pokes look like.

I dunno why the fuck imgur won't show the first image with transparency. It's a fuckin png, even though it gives me the url as a jpg, though I'm not sure why the hell the second image has transparency as a jpg. I even reuploaded the first pic, but nothing changed.

I wonder if these are made from the same ultra-high polygon models TPCi made a few years ago. These seem a little different, so I'm not sure, but then I don't know why they would remake the models when everything else is using them (all the 3DS Pokémon games and apps are using those models).

Went on a 5 & 1/4 mile walk around collecting stuff from pokestops and trying to catch some good Pokémon, but damn, some areas didn't have but 1 Pokémon on the radar. Now I'm level 16, and I've been Savin all my next evolves for when I see this next Lucky Egg. Also, my 1040 Hypno is the leader at the gym near me. Hoping it can stay there for a day, but I doubt it cause that gym has changed a lot lately.

Yeah, but couldn't they just do the US measurements for the US version of the game, like every other pokemon game has done?

Not unless you want the egg tiers to be:

1.24274238 miles
3.10685596 miles
6.21371192 miles

The point of using km here is so that they can keep the hatch distances the same while also keeping them simple and clean. If they switched to miles the US would either need to have different distances from the rest of the world, giving us either an unfair advantage or disadvantage, or use the values I have above (which are equal to 2km, 5km, and 10km respectively).
