Lots of complaints regarding the 2.5 ft controller wire with reviewers.

Interestingly enough though Nintendo will be bringing back their power line for a nostalgic reminder of automated tips and some behind-the-scenes stories from some of the original Nintendo Game Play Counselors. The NYC store will be doing a retro celebration as well.

Personally, my plan is to get an HDMI extension cable (or just a longer one to use entirely, depending on which is cheaper), and drag the whole thing out when I play. Since you have to hit the reset button on the console itself to access the save state stuff and all that, I figure I'll save myself some grunting to get up and walk across the room that way.

Are you fucking kidding me? That's not a typo? That's the shortest, most bullshit cord length in the history of fucking everything. Who WOULDN'T bitch about this dumb shit?

I have no doubt this holiday season money grab by nintendo will be played the most between December 25th and January 1st, then 80% of the "gamerz" who got this will stop using it when they go back to work and sportsball.

So you're saying I should wait and either find one at Goodwill in February, or at garage sales this summer? Hmmm ...

We have a date for the second wave! Incidentally, June 29 is also the first day of my vacation this year, and depending on when my family wants to leave that day (which probably won't be until around noon at the earliest), I should be able to easily make it to a Best Buy or other store at opening first thing in the morning. That said, i'm still gonna try and get a pre-order, just in case.
