Yesterday the 2018 Game Awards was held with awards given out to several game developers for making great games this year.  This event also tends to bring some upcoming video game news too.

News - Upcoming Releases:

Multiplatform --

  • Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled - PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on June 21, 2019.
  • Mortal Kombat 11 - PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC/Steam on April 23, 2019.  Shao Kahn and beta access pre-orders are now live.  Community reveal coming January 17, 2019.
  • Anthem - PS 4 and Xbox One only.
  • The Outer Worlds - PS 4, Xbox One, and PC/Steam Only. 
  • The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe - PC/Steam and "New Platforms" in 2019.
  • Fortnite - The Block mode added to the game.  It's another expansion to Playgrounds/Creator mode.  If you build a good enough block, it may be featured in Fortnite's primary and some secondary modes.
  • Stranger Things 3 - All we know it's multiplatform including Nintendo Switch.
  • Rocket League - Rocket League is getting McLaren 570S car pack DLC.

 

Nintendo --

  • Persona 5’s Joker Coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC
  • Sayonara Wild Hearts - Switch exclusive.  Coming in 2019
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order - Switch exclusive.  Coming in 2019.

 

Epic Games Store --

  • Hades - Now available in early access in the Epic Games store.

 

Unknown Platforms --

  • Far Cry: New Dawn - Set to release on February 15, 2019
  • Dragon Age: Dread Wolf Rises*
  • Rage 2 - Set to release on May 14, 2019
  • The Last Campfire - From the devs behind No Man's Sky.
